Who is this person? His name is Waleezy. Born and raised in the small city of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, it all began when the Rhode Islander heard the record “Hypnotize” by the Notorious B.I.G. After hearing this record, Waleezy was inspired to become an emcee. This was the beginning formation of the rapper and producer we know as Waleezy.

in 2001 they released an album with another local group Phastlifef, which instantly received attention on the local hip-hop scene selling 10,000 copies in the first week. It was voted #1 album in the northeast region, ranked #71 in billboad magazines hip-hop/ R&B albums with a bullet and #3 on the Pacesetters list.

Who Dem? Formerly Meal Tix is a local trio with roots in Brooklyn, Long Island and Jamaica. They have a few singles including "Surrounded," "At It Again feat. Shawn Jackson," "So Impressed feat. Shane Lee," and "Ma Like." Who Dem? is signed under Mandatory Entertainment, and they perform with the likes of Method Man & Redman, and Western Front.

I am mainly responsible for creating the music and writing my own lyrics. I do have a co-producer (Bam F) who helps me out with beats I am on a mission to get my music out to the world, and into everyone's mp3 players. I have a gift of music to write and produce. I use the music that is already out their in the mainstream/industry to judge what my next moves should be. Mostly, I use my own personal creativity to develop my music in the end.

Jeffrey Richard Oliveira a.k.a. Lil Jeff was born on July 20,1990. He is a new up and coming artist from Pawtucket RI. Lil' Jeff won our "So You Think You Can Rap?" contest and part of the prize was to open for Method Man & Redman @ Lupos on Dec. 12th! In his words he said “At times it would feel like I was enslaved by my own mined, while Imprisoned by my own bars.” Opportunities have just been arising. Such as: Def Jam has noticed him, and Lil' Jeff has caught the eye of Hip-Hop Mogul Russel Simmons. This road to stardom is slowly paving its way for Jeffrey Oliveira a.k.a. Lil Jeff.

Manni currently released his experimental album "Burst", orchestrating his emotions thru up-beat synthesizers and 8-bit sounds. Manni is working on his next release "Who Am I", set to release this October. He will promote this mixtape thru his tour with AC Entertainment. Fedd Hill is New England's most authentic and energetic hip-hop act. Based out of Providence, Rhode Island, Fedd Hill embodies the notion of street credibility. After bleeding together in a tragic accident that claimed the life of a dear friend one exit away from the Federal Hill section of Providence, Rhode Island, the group decided to honor their fallen comrades memory with the name Fedd Hill.

Jon Hope is a staple in the Providence Hip-Hop scene and just performed at Hot 106's Winter Break Bash! Jon Hope has been featured in a number of high profile publications that include MTVU, Billboard, Rollingstone.com, and XXL to name a few. He has worked extensively with Smashsquad DJ Statik Selektah. Jon Hope has also collaborated/shared the stage with artists like Nas, Talib Kweli, Rakim, Kidz In The Hall, and The Lox to name a few. Other notable collaborations include G.O.O.D. Music producer Devo Springsteen.

Shying away from the stereotyped image of the average rapper with negative messages about murder, sex and drugs, MC Ebonics’ lyrics focus on the truths of life, including dealing with relationship problems and people who aren’t all they seem to be: “Everything I write comes from the heart.” Ebonics first single, ‘Hata Blockaz’, has already gained almost 700,000 plays on his MySpace page.

Chachi is a 31 year old emcee who was born and raised in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. He is a first generation Cape Verdean American who comes from a family of singers and musicians. He has been actively involved in the world of music entertainment for over a decade. He is a man of many talents and has assumed many roles such as emcee, promoter, deejay, ghostwriter, host and has recently formed an independent entertainment company called Big East Music Entertainment.

New upcoming rapper Spocka has teamed up with Jbanks Blog to gave you some new tracks. Spocka is a young MC borned in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, but raised and now lives in Rhode Island. He got the name Spocka from the character from Star Trek and the word spark, He says “people always say that i look mean and have no emotions like Spock and everything I do involves energy … from performing, to business, to my songs. So spark is something that electrical, high energy and always moving.”

Being raised in Newport, RI, which is often called GhosTown to locals, helped to mold the artist known as Freddie Black.

Akinola had been greatly influenced by the Hip-hop music from artist like Eminem, 50 Cent and Cassidy (before he became a gangster) and it wasn’t until later in the 2000’s that he really started to listen to Jay even though he still couldn’t understand why Big and Pac were still considered the undisputed artists of all times.

Starrs & Murph are some HOT local hip-hop/indie artists! Starrs is from Camden, NJ, and Murph is from New Haven, CT. The duo has been performing together for around 6 years, and have opened/performed with 50 cent, G-Unit, Joe Budden, and The Lox...among others. They're label is Loose Change Music, and they have at least two albums: The Lost Tapes and Loose Change. They have a new hit single "showtime" produced by Statki Selektah, and have been featured in Hip Hop Weekly. They were crowned the Best Rap Duo of 2006 @ the Underground Music Awards in NYC.

In May of 2008 Manny X independently released his debut album. Hood Angelz
T-dubbz and E-stylez formed Hood Angelz after meeting at FEDEX ground in November of 2008.
